TWSK Transformer Temperature Controller

The TWSK Series transformer temperature controller is specifically designed for container transformer stations such as Dry-Type Transformers and Cast Resin Transformers. It can accurately monitor transformer windings, oil, and ambient temperature.

This transformer temperature monitor provides Fans, Alarm, and Trip output relays. Real-time control of the cooling fans, heaters, alarms, and trip actions based on transformer winding temperature sensors and custom programming.

Feature

  • Temperature monitoring for transformer: Real-time monitoring of transformer winding or oil temperature. When the oil temperature exceeds the threshold, it automatically triggers over-temperature alarms or trips.
  • Temperature control: Automatically start or stop cooling systems (such as fans) based on set temperature thresholds. When the ambient temperature rises, it starts the fan for cooling.
  • Humidity control: when humidity approaches condensation levels, it activates the heater for dehumidification or dehumidifiers.
  • 3-digit LED display: Real-time monitoring is easy with the 3-digit LED display, providing at-a-glance readings of transformer oil temperature, ambient temperature, and ambient humidity.
  • 3 sensor inputs: Oil temperature sensors, ambient temperature sensors, and ambient humidity sensors are available. The temperature sensor adopts an armored PT100 liquid sensor with a three-wire connection, supporting cable lengths of up to 20 meters. The ambient humidity sensor uses an imported high-reliability integrated sensor.
  • RS485 Communication: Specifically for industrial applications, this transformer temperature controller features an RS-485 Modbus RTU port, ensuring smooth integration with your PLC and other control systems.

Application

As for transformer temperature controller applications, it is widely used in Electrical power systems, Photovoltaic system transformers, LV / MV container transformer stations, and the Transmission and distribution industry. Here are some common applications listed:

  • Box-type substation transformer: Box-type substations are usually compact and have limited internal space, so the heat generated by the transformer is not easy to dissipate. The transformer temperature monitor can monitor the temperature of the transformer in the box-type substation in real-time, and automatically adjust the cooling system (such as the fan) according to the temperature change to ensure that the transformer operates within a safe temperature range.

 

  • Cast resin transformer: By monitoring the winding temperature, controlling the cooling fan, and providing over-temperature protection, the transformer is prevented from being damaged due to overheating, ensuring the insulation performance and safe operation of the transformer.

 

  • Dry-type transformer: The temperature control requirements of dry-type transformers are high, and the thermostat can accurately monitor the winding temperature of dry-type transformers.
