Arc Flash Detection
The AFR-3S is our new advanced arc flash relay, which adopts a dual criterion (current and arc sensing) for arc flash detection. Only the arc flash happens and the current overload the presetting values, it will alarm for arc flash. It offers not only arc flash protection, but also circuit breaker failure protection.
Multi-channel Input and Output Options
The AFR-3S supports up to 6 binary inputs for Circuit breaker, Device maintenance, optional smoke sensor, Reserved function, and Common terminal. Moreover, there are 3 arc sensor inputs so it can collect 3 channels of arc light signals simultaneously. other optional sensor inputs include temperature sensor inputs and partial discharge sensor inputs. As for AFR-3S arc flash relay output, it has 4 or 6 relay outputs for arc action, alarm, circuit breaker trip, etc.
Data Logging for Arc Flash Diagnostics
It can complete exception records, event records, and operation records to help you find the arc flash location quickly and diagnostic your system comprehensively.
Compact Size & Quick Arc-Flash Trip Time
The AFR-3S arc flash relay is small, exquisite and structural reasonable so it is suitable for a broad range of arc-flash applications, especially small space electrical cabinets. With high-grade, high-quality components, as for arc flash-trip time, it can do arc trip within 10ms while the arc fault happens.
In addition, the AFR-3S arc flash relay is equipped with RS485 communication interface and integrated MODBUS standard communication protocol. By using high-grade and high-quality components, and multi-layer board technology and SMT process, it has high electrical performance and support ST visible light and ST ultraviolet sensor access.
